Is psychotherapy right for you right now?
Whether you've experienced being in therapy before or are thinking about it for the first time, the decision to enter into psychotherapy is a big one.

Unlike some other forms of talking therapy, psychotherapy is usually long term work.

The aim of psychotherapy is not to find a 'quick fix', to diagnose you or issue medication to mask feelings but rather to be curious, to allow deeper feelings to surface and to explore them with a reliable, resilient companion;
your psychotherapist.
In this way you can come to a state of acceptance of things you cannot change, of compassion for your most vulnerable self and hopeful growth towards a true self.

The therapeutic relationship between you and your psychotherapist is the basis of the work you will do together so it is very important to have an initial meeting to see whether you feel you can work with this person. Feelings matter - listen to them.
About Me
I am in my third year of study at BCPC (Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling) working towards a Masters degree in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.
Significant life experiences led me to personal therapy which in turn opened a new door for me - to study psychotherapy and explore our endlessly fascinating inner selves.
Always curious to explore what lies beneath, my original degrees were in Archaeology & Geology and later an MA in Landscape Archaeology.
I currently volunteer with GARAS (Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers) and have my training placement with Listening Post counselling service.
The joy of exploring the landscape and my love of nature feed and nourish my soul- as do my two dogs.
My Approach
For me, the relationship we create is the key to our work. I believe that everyone has the capacity to come to terms with their wounds and that our therapeutic relationship will support you to engage in compassionate, honest self-reflection and self-acceptance.
I work in an integrative style, which means I can draw on different approaches within psychotherapy to build an individual working relationship personalised to each of my clients.
I bring warmth, empathy and my own authenticity. Together, in a non-judgemental environment, we can work towards an awareness and acceptance of your deeper true self.

I encourage you to connect with and listen to your inner voice.
If you are interested, why not
We can agree a first meeting where we can both explore what it would be like to work together and if it feels right.

until we thoroughly accept what we are.
Then change seems to come almost unnoticed”
